Alexander McQueen was known for his lavish, unconventional runway shows, such as a recreation of a shipwreck for his spring 2003 collection, spring 2005’s human chess game and his fall 2006 show, Widows of Culloden, which featured a life-sized hologram of supermodel Kate Moss, dressed in yards of rippling fabric. It is believed that he committed suicide days after his mom passed away.

Miles Dewey Davis III (May 26, 1926 – September 28, 1991) was an American trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. Widely considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, Miles Davis was, with his musical groups, at the forefront of several major developments in jazz music, including cool jazz, hard bop, free jazz, and jazz fusion. Many well-known jazz musicians rose to prominence as members of Davis's ensembles, such as John Coltrane. Miles Davis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Davis has earned eight Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and three Grammy Hall of Fame Awards. Davis was noted as "one of the key figures in the history of jazz". Miles Davis is one of the most innovative, influential and respected figures in the history of jazz music. He has been described as “one of the great innovators in jazz”.

Marcus Mosiah Garvey was born on August 17, 1887 in St Ann's Bay, Jamaica. He was a publisher, journalist, entrepreneur, Black Nationalist, Pan-Africanist, and orator.Garvey was unique in advancing a Pan-African philosophy to inspire a global mass movement focusing on Africa known as Garveyism. The fundamental focus of Garveyism is the complete, total and never ending redemption of the continent of Africa by people of African ancestry, at home and abroad. Marcus Garvey founded the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA-ACL)to spread his message of Black Nationalism.
